Iran centuries-old headscarf goes on display in concert

Female members of Iran National Orchestra wear traditional headscarves in a concert commonly used in Iranian province of Lorestan since 3000 years ago.

The concert was organized on March 9 in the province with noted Iranian traditional music singer Ali Reza Eftekhari performing songs alongside the National Orchestra.   

The distinctive appearance of the female artists in the concert stood out as they wore a special scarf of Iranian women residing in Lorestan Province. Such special type of scarf is known in the local language as Golvani.

The Thursday concert was conducted under the baton of Iranian music maestro Fereydoun Shahbazian.
